2. Reinstatement & Redesign Announcement

• Fast-forward to July 2025, when FLHSMV reversed course—announcing that the UNF specialty plate would return in a redesigned format. According to a technical advisory issued on July 23, 2025, the new plates would begin shipping to distribution offices on July 30, 2025.

3. Why the Redesign Matters

• Specialty license plates are not just decorative—they generate revenue for their sponsoring organizations. Proceeds help fund things like academic programs, scholarships, and student services.
